Project Description

As a musician, I was very attracted to the rich musical culture of this country, and that was my main motivation for coming here. I arrived in the UK at the age of twenty-one, hungry to experience everything that life presented to me. Here I studied Contemporary Singing and Musical Production for two years. It was definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Fortunately, I never had a problem integrating and I really enjoyed the process. My first two years I dedicated myself only to study, thanks to the financial support from my family. Then I worked in a pub for five years, and in parallel I started looking for opportunities as a musician, singing in a mariachi band and in Latin music projects, in addition to developing my solo project as a singer-songwriter and producer –this is my biggest dream.

I have worked for large companies such as MTV, ITV, X Factor, James Bond Franchise, Net-a-Porter, among others. Also, as a session musician I have had the opportunity to work with John Legend on his shows at the X Factor and the BBC Music Awards. Coincidences of life: it was here in England where I met the Mexican singer Cristian Castro, and from this relationship, opportunities arose for me to open two of his concerts in Colombia and sing a song at stage with him at the National Auditorium in Mexico City.

I am a singer and manage a mariachi group here in England, and that definitely keeps me very close to my Mexico, despite the distance. Also, although my wife is Brazilian, she speaks Spanish perfectly, so the language is present in my day-to-day life.

I have always loved the feeling of being Mexican in this country. When I meet people in my presentations or in any social event, the simple act of saying: “I’m from Mexico” puts a smile on their face, and immediately the energy turns positive. On the other hand, a large part of my work is precisely about taking a piece of Mexico to parties, meetings and other events. For me, this responsibility is something that I take great pride in.
